“Illustrated Journeys” is an ongoing art and memoir project.

A combination of handwritten text and hand-drawn images that remember a trip, recall an adventure, relay an anecdotal memory, or explain an opinion.  They present to the viewer on one page a personal story of the artist. The images are inspired by travel maps, photographs, postcards, and comics. The text is memoir, recording discoveries and disappointments from an event in author’s life. Each illustrated journey is drafted, drawn, inked and colored on white paper stock (generally 9 x 12 inches) and embellished with watercolor, gouache, pastel, pencil, ink or other available art supplies.

“Lost Treasures” is Jameson Currier’s ongoing project to rediscover, revisit, and illustrate his early writings.
